Fan the Flame

07/26/2021

Have you ever been with someone and the conversation is one of those rare times in life where you want it to go on and on forever? I guess Dr. Phil would call it a defining moment, Or something like that. And if you remember back, you can remember who it was, the situation, the place and the event that precipitated the connection and conversation.

The reality of these rare and vital conversations is they are there at that precis moment to help us grow and be! It helps in so many ways but I'm thinking right now of two. First, we realize that there are in this world others who believe the same things we do. In many of these situations we are connecting on a spiritual level. We are in a conversation where we think in a similar way, that we do and are moved by the same things to move onto similar spiritual journeys. It is probably due to our affinity to the same thing like personal life experiences, goals and life mission, and of course, faith.

Why am I writing about this at this time in the life cycle of these world events? Well, it's not this time in life, it's this time in history. I'm writing to give each of you hope for the future. Too many of us have been separated from the experiences of life that mold us and make us into more than just better people. We have had much of our life ripped from very hearts and it's time to claw it back with all that is within us. The interaction of souls seems to be missing now more than at any other time few can remember. And this is happening as we are approaching the second anniversary of this robber of real living.

The second part is this, if it's in us, we cannot let anybody or anything snuff it out. Even if there is one small ember burning inside you, let's get back together where we can stoke the fire, fan the flames within and be warmed by its glowing. They closed our churches to keep us healthy, and we got creative and found other ways to meet and keep the fire going. Jesus said in Matthew, "I will build My church and the gates of hell will not be able to destroy it. If you believe it, what are you going to do now?"

Something to think about.

Rob

It only takes a spark to get a fire going, And soon all those around can warm up in its glowing;

That's how it is with God's Love, Once you've experienced it, You spread the love to everyone

You want to pass it on. - Kurt Kaiser
